What Day Is Valentine’s Day
What day is actually valentine’s day?
Valentine’s day is always on the 14th of February worldwide. However, not all cultures celebrate this day due to its origin.
The very first Valentine’s Day or St Valentine’s Day) was in the year 496. It is thought to be a very special day where people show their affection for another by sending them cards, flowers and other form of gifts.
It all started from a Roman Festival called Lupercalia in the middle of February towards the beginning of springtime.
The day as the title reads, ‘what day is Valentines Day,’ has many speculations of who St Valentine was. The most popular belief is that he was a priest from Roman in the third century AD.
Just around that time of the old valentine’s day letter Emperor Claudius II had band all marriages in Rome because he thought married men would make weak soldiers. As a result of this, lovers had to hide and communicate with their lover in secrecy or face hash consequences. Valentine’s day has a rich history, and it would be too much to get into all of it here.
